Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day, or Saint Valentine's Day, is celebrated on February 14th.
The history of Saint Valentine's Day dates back to the 3rd century AD. The Roman Emperor Claudius II banned marriages, in order to recruit more soldiers for his troops. A priest at the time, named Valentim, disrespected this imperial decree by performing weddings. The secret was discovered and Valentim was arrested, tortured and sentenced to death. Before that, he managed to send and receive some letters while still in his cell, which led to the exchange of cards on that day, the so-called "valentines". This day is known for being the most romantic day of the year, in which couples exchange messages, letters, gifts and other offers, in order to show and celebrate the love and affection they feel for each other.
Take advantage of this day to surprise the person you love most!
